Volunteers play a major role in the success of all the CARAD activities, for which we are very grateful. Since forming in 1998, CARAD has built up an encouraging group of willing volunteers and we would welcome anyone to join our happy team.

The opportunities are wide ranging and will suit most people's attributes and circumstances. Activities can include stewarding at music concerts and festivals, creating exhibition displays, scanning photographs for the CARAD Archive or making cups of tea on a Natural History afternoon.

There are always new and exciting projects to involve volunteers and CARAD always endeavours to ensure that its volunteers enjoy a rewarding experience that may have opportunities to learn new skills, meet people and share their own knowledge with others.

Various training courses are available to volunteers to enhance their awareness in certain areas such as First Aid and computer skills.

If you think that you may have an amount of time to spare, however small, please contact CARAD and we can arrange a convenient time for an introduction over a cup of tea! We are a jolly bunch of people at CARAD who, along with the volunteers, enjoy celebrating the community spirit that we are so lucky to have in this area.

Kerena Pugh is the Volunteer Co-ordinator and has been working at CARAD for over 3 years, building the team of dedicated volunteers.

Kerena works part time and her usual days of work are Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you would like to contact her please call CARAD on 01597 810192 or email volunteer@carad.org.uk
